![]() ![]() The Shield is almost perfect, if Plex would just add full support for SSA/ASS subs. I have virtually no Atmos content and I rarely hear much of a difference between that and regular surround sound, so. I'd prefer it do passthrough, since I spent a few hundred dollars on an AVR and speakers specifically to be able to decouple the audio component and make my setup as modular as possible, but I could probably live without that. If I could figure out a way to get even a few extra controls then the ATV4K could be a largely perfect device. My setup is more complex than one device connected directly to one TV, so my Harmony remote is kind of a must. I also don't use an ATV4K because Apple seems to have gone out of their way to make sure that anything other than that craptastic Siri remote is a completely gimped experience. Maybe they took the opportunity to make it look and act more like the official Plex client which might make it viable. Speaking of, I see there's a 0.3.x version of the Plex add-on for Kodi 19 which I should try. I periodically check on all the options out there and have been for several years. You name a possible solution and I've probably tried it. I'm aware of all that, as I said, there are other issues with my specific use case.
